In the fall of 1877, Eliza Bailey Masters founded what is now The Masters School. The campus is located near the Hudson River in the small scenic town of Dobbs Ferry, only 12 miles from New York City. The schools extensive wooded 96-acre campus perched on a hilltop overlooking the historic Hudson River is the perfect place for your child to spend this summer. We make great use of the schools 5 soft tennis courts, 4 hard tennis courts, outdoor basketball hoops, playing field, pool, cafeteria, and open space. Only 5-minutes from the Hastings-on-Hudson Metro North Station we are a quick 40 minute commute from NYC with van service available from the Hastings station.

Tennis Courts

We are fortunate enough to have access to 9 beautiful tennis courts on the campus of Masters School. Four newly surfaced hard courts and five har-tru (clay based surface provide our instructors with the ability to split our campers into the appropriate age and level groups for top notch tennis instruction. The har-tru courts also allow for a quick dry surface that helps us stay on the courts even during periods of rain. 

Swimming Pool

Each camper gets to escape the heat and sun while enjoying a refreshing 20 minutes in the brand new indoor pool on the Masters campus as part of their daily routine. This is a "Free" swim period. There is no swim instruction. Campers are supervised by a Certified lifeguard and 5th Set Counselors at all times. Campers should bring a bathing suit to camp each day and will be given a chance to change before and after the swim period. Any campers with shoulder-length or longer hair are required to wear a swim cap during the Open Swim period. 

In addition to our tennis curriculum each camper is given a chance to take part in 1 or 2 (dependent on age) Recreational Sports periods. These periods will include participation in sports that 5th Set believes are great complimentary sports to tennis for there emphasis on footwork, endurance, strategy, and pure fun! Each camper will have an opportunity to take part in organized but Non Instructional soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, kickball and dodgeball. 

Indoor Space
for Rainy Days

The beautiful Fonseca Center located on the Masters School campus provides us with a great rainy day location. In order to escape both the rain or intense heat we spend time in both the gym and recreation area of the Fonseca Center. With access to ping-pong, fusball, board games, puzzles, and gym space our campers stay busy even in inclement weather.
